Pet Care Counselor
The Pet Care Counselor is responsible for the supervision, control and management of daycare dogs and ensuring the safety of the playgroup. The counselor may also be assigned care of other animals lodging at the facility. Additionally, the counselor is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the playrooms, as well as, other areas of the facility as assigned. Pet Care Counselors will be cross-trained in bather/brusher procedures when needed.
Bather / Brusher
The Bather/Brusher’s primary duties are to properly prepare, bathe and finish pets by using humane practices and minimizing pet stress. Additionally, the Bather/Brusher is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the groom shop.
Groomer
The Groomer is responsible for supervising to ensure all pets are properly groomed and finished using humane practices and minimizing pet stress. Additionally, the groomer is responsible for managing bather/brushers and the maintenance and cleaning of the groom shop. The Groomer is responsible for communication with clients regarding pet grooming needs or behaviorissues/concerns. They also assist with mentoring other groomers to improve
their skill set, train bather/brushers and assist with dog skin or health issues within the facility.
Dog Trainer
The Dog Trainer is responsible for class orientation, leading both group and private training classes. The Dog Trainer assists with training sales efforts and communication with clients regarding training needs or behavior issues/concerns. They also assist with training new pet care counselors and troubleshooting dog behavior issues within the facility.
